Once Upon A Time.... How fairy tales usually start and hindsight ends.

No politics here. Nope. Not going there. Blood pressure won't stand it and the people of this nation are either sleeping, sleepwalking, have gone in search of their conscience or have developed a high tolerance for eating vitriol and drinking bitter wine.

No politics here. On to outer space! We will all be wearing our tinfoil hats and, after dying our skin orange, won't be able to tell the aliens from the cowboys. We will also adapt  to life on Mars. After all we have been practicing for a year and a half.

No politics here. Blame is readily shared by those coated in Teflon in the Executive Branch in DC. Remember John Gotti...the Mafia chieftain known as the "Teflon Don"? Nothing would stick to him no matter how many times he was hauled into court. He was the luckiest criminal, BUT! He eventually wound up going down. The current Teflon Don has NEVER done anything wrong according to "himself" and Mrs. Slanders (I might have spelled that phonetically).

No politics here. Not gonna get embroiled in the separation of illegal parents from their equally illegal children. Nope. There ought to be a law. My feeling is you have to have a heart not an agenda in order to make correct and moral decisions regarding rimming the cusp of human rights violations. (By the way this didn't start with the children. Have you forgotten the ban on transgender soldiers tweet?) Morality is no issue in the White House. Excerpts of scripture are quoted out of context supposedly lending credence the claim their acts are justified citing a "higher power" as scripted in the Bible as proof. An obvious appeal to the Evangelicals who supported the cause in the past. Ignore all the other religious organizations on record condemning their misuse of  "God's word" to mitigate an immoral act reviled around the world. If found in any other country we would be screaming our righteous indignation regarding the atrocity! Oh...maybe not. We withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council. Apparently nobody knows human rights better than the country who is being accused of abusing human rights. Remember? They haven't done anything wrong.

No politics here. I won't allow myself to be pulled in watching the "Idiocracy" now in control of the government of what was at one time the greatest nation on earth, deconstruct generations of good will and diplomacy at the tiny hands of a Faux Napoleonic Nincompoop. The nation that other countries ascribed to emulate in their approach to industry, education and democracy, is now in decline as protectionist policies are damaging relationships with allies on our borders and around the world, while at the same time smooching an Oligarch and hugging a ruthless dictator/god.
 The American people fucked up and let the tail wag the dog.

Once upon a time there was a nation that appeared to homogeneously maintain peace in the world and had a population that appeared to believe in human rights and the words emblazoned on the Statue Of Liberty in New York harbor.
Or maybe THAT was the fairy tale. I don't know. I don't do politics...and don't be fooled, hindsight isn't always 20-20.
