Canadian addendum...spell check my ass!

Sometimes spellcheck just isn't enough help. At times it decides the word you want to use doesn't work. In its opinion something completely unrelated is much better at making me look like a complete idiot. I don't need anyone's help making that happen. I've been successful at it for decades. No. Sometimes spellcheck just isn't enough.

In college (Yes. I went to college. Not barber nor clown college as you might be thinking...) it was a major death blow to have a sentence fragment or a run on sentence in any paper handed in for a grade. 3 in one paper failed you for the course. No shit! It was serious business.

In my proofing the posts before hitting the publish button I have read the opus more than once for content, punctuation and spelling repairing, editing and snipping as I go. I think I have tightened things up and hit the button only to realize once it hits my blog I have allowed punctuation gaffes and a fragment sentence to slip past my bleary eyes and show the world my lack of language skills. Oh the humanity!

I come back and re-edit the piece but those who opened the post right away didn't get the edited version and my knuckleheadedness is revealed.

I want to offer my heartfelt apology for posting poorly proofed blogger fodder. Your time is precious and not only did I slip you  shoddy grammar, I am now making you read a lengthy apology in which I could have made more errors. If I have please have your red pen out and circle any and all errors. If I have more than five let me know and I will stop writing the blog.

I was just kidding. I won't stop writing. I will simply stop proofing since it doesn't appear to be doing any good anyhow.
